PPP demands compensation to cinema blast victims

Ishtiaq Ahmed Mirza, MPA and senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian has demanded of the government to compensate Naz Cinema gas blast victims. Eight people lost their lives and dozens were injured in this blast, two years ago.
At that time Governor of the Punjab, many federal and provincial ministers and advisors visited the site as well as injured persons in the hospitals, but so far the bereaved families have not been paid a single penny, Mirza said while addressing a press conference at Rawalpindi Islamabad Press Club on Thursday.
"Provincial Minister Raja Basharat, on behalf of Chief Minister Punjab had announced Rs 100,000 for the deceased and Rs 50,000 each for the injured persons but the amount has not been distributed among the affected citizens after lapse of two and half years", the MPA said.
