Pir Intisam-ul-Haq, father of Pakistan cricket team captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, has thanked President General Pervez Musharraf, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and the nation as a whole for supporting his son on the on ball-tampering issue.
Talking to newsmen here on Thursday he said, "it was not an issue of Inzamam's personal ego but it is a matter of Pakistan's prestige and his son has taken a very bold stand".
He said that his son is a patriotic Pakistani who loves his country from the core of his heart. He cannot even listen anything against Pakistan. He thrashed a spectator in Canada when he uttered a word against Pakistan, Inzi's father said. Pir Intisam praised Pakistani team for upholding the national honour.
