Visionary leaders

25 Aug, 2006

After painful efforts, the nation's economic growth rate is comparable to India but some people have already embroiled themselves in derailing the financial express along with its engine.
People in the developed world are busy working but nobody in this country has much time for other things, including politics. The country has not been able to bring forward any notable leaders for the uncertain path to democracy and that has made the tried crooks laugh and contemplate their bid to see the inroads into regaining their licence to loot.
It is not necessary for us to see Nawaz Sharif and Benazir again nor it is necessary to copy the governmental system that exists in America, Europe and India and has been rejected by all the Islamic world, Russia, China, Latin America, most of Asia and Africa. I feel sorry for the mightiest nation on earth to have failed in its attempt to export democracy into Iraq alone, as also the entire Islamic world.
Elections or no elections in 2007, keep the Nawaz Sharif and Benazir out.
And last but not the least, those who have given a growth rate of average 7% in the last 3 years to Pakistan would not let the nation go down the drain.
