Celebrations of 249th Urs of renowned Punjabi poet and saint Baba Bhulleh Shah would start from Saturday, August 26 at district Kasur. Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri would inaugurate the celebrations.
On the first day of the celebrations competition of Hussen-e-Qirrat would be held after the prayer of Zoher while the Punjabi Mushahra would be held after the Isha prayer.
Students speech competition, Mahfil-e-Sammah, and lectures of religious scholars on the thoughts and teaching of Bhulleh Shah are the other main activities of Urs celebrations.
