KCCI presidentship: BMG still undecided about candidate's name

Businessmen Group (BMG) leader Siraj Kassim Teli has yet not decided the names of candidate for the seat of presidentship in forthcoming elections of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Sources said that different names, including Maqsood Ismail, Salim Kapadia, Zubair Motiwala and Asif Aziz, were under consideration for the top slot of the KCCI.
The name of Majyed Aziz was also under consideration, but he refused to take part in the coming elections, they said, adding the names under consideration for the seat of Senior Vice-President include Amir Abdullah Zaki, Munir Sultan and Noor.
Sources said that as per the rules, this year is the term of Memon community and a candidate from this community would be nominated to contest the election for the presidentship of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). The KCCI elections are scheduled to be held on September 16 on 15 managing committee seats and one seat of the president. The members will elect the president for the one-year and members of managing committee for two years. The Managing committee will then elect Senior vice-president and vice-president on September 23.
