I am indeed very happy to offer my congratulations to the people of Murree on the successful completion of the significant project of natural gas supply to this far-flung area.
It is a known fact that the present government has played a pioneering role in infrastructure development for the provision of basic amenities of life for the people of the all four provinces of Pakistan.
Natural gas is a precious gift of nature, which has provided a significant impetus to the overall economy of the country. I am sure that it will now help enhance the quality of life in area and will also be an engine of tourism development in the area.
The availability of this user-friendly fuel will help in protecting the environment at this particular hill resort. The trees here were being cut down at an alarming rate for the purpose of cooking and warming homes. Which had posed a serious danger to the invaluable eco-system. I am confident that the M/o P&NR and the SNGPL will continue to play their leading roles in sustaining the economic growth as well as in preserving the environment in the country. I wish the management and the staff success in all their noble ventures.
