Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) MPAs on Monday submitted a condemnation resolution at Sindh Assembly Secretariat against killing of veteran politician Nawab Akbar Bugti along with his companions and summoned their Parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday to device their strategy for the session.
Sindh Assembly will meet again on Tuesday after the Speaker, Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah, adjourned the opposition's requisitioned session on August 18, on the request from the treasury benches.
MMA deputy parliamentary party leader in Sindh Assembly, Nasarullah Shaji told PPI that they had submitted two resolutions at Sindh Assembly secretariat, one calling for condemnation of Akbar Bugti's killing by provincial assembly and the other, an adjournment motion against violence and termination of local teachers.
He said MMA's parliamentary party meeting had been summoned on Tuesday, before Sindh assembly resumes it's requisitioned session to discuss strategy for protest against Bugti's assassination.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) too summoned its parliamentary party meeting on Monday to discuss their strategy during Sindh Assembly session resuming on Tuesday.
A PPP MPA said issues likely to be discussed at their parliamentary party meeting were killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti and its aftermath, ongoing military operation in Balochistan, provincial autonomy, issue of teachers and other problems being faced by people of Sindh.
"Opposition in the provincial assembly will not let those escape who threatened to quit both provincial and federal governments if operation in Balochistan was not halted immediately."
