At least ten people were killed and 16 others injured on Thursday when a goods truck collided with a passenger bus near Multan, police said. The crash took place near Katch Khu, a rural town some 65 kilometres east of Multan.
The truck suddenly joined the highway from a side road and smashed into the moving bus, police official Tanvir Ahmed said. Three of the injured were in a serious condition, he said. Pakistan has the world's third highest death rate from road accidents.
