The Karachi Port handled 48,555 tonnes of cargo including 42,238 tonnes import, 6,317 tonnes export cargo and 1,875 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 28,555 tonnes dry cargo including 18,999 tonnes general cargo; 9,556 tonnes bulk cargo and 20,000 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Seven ships sailed out to sea during the report period. Three vessels are currently at the berths. Seven ships expected to sail on Monday, while three vessels are expected to sail on Tuesday. Three vessels due to arrive on Monday, while nine ships are due to arrive on Tuesday.
Three ships namely CV MSC Carmen, CV San Clemente and MT Yanaseni sailed out to sea during the report period, while another vessel CV Sinar Bontang is expected to sail on Monday. A total of seven vessels viz Bum Ju, Bunga Melati-7, Suzanne, Thor Hawk, MSC Eleonora, Explorer and Madre are currently at the outer anchorage. Four ships namely CV Thor Hawk, CV MSC Eleonora, CV Nedlloyd Muscat and MT Suzanne due to take berths on Monday.
Two vessels viz CV Mega-I and CV Acx Plumberia with containers due to arrive on Monday, while four more ships namely CV Aurora, CV MSC Lauren, MT Navigator Pluto and MT Keefan with diesel oil, LPG and containers are due to arrive on Tuesday.
