Thin business was seen on the grain market on Monday as most of the commodity items maintained their previous levels due to good arrivals from upcountry centres, dealers said.
On the rice sector, Irri-white low type was at Rs 890 while the better type did not show any change at Rs 900, they said. Other types maintained the same levels, they added.
On the cereals side, guwar, inferior type gained Rs 25 to Rs 1675 and rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1800 for all stations, they said. Wheat Mexipak old and new types shed Rs 5 to Rs 1140-1155, they said.
