Singapore bunker prices fell on Monday but the premium to fuel oil cargo values strengthened to above $8 a tonne as sellers continued to hold offers at high levels.
Prices for the 380-centistoke (cst) bunker fuel were pegged at $284-$286 a tonne, down $10.00 from Friday's Asian close, while its differential to fuel oil was at a premium of $8.25, up $1.05 from day-ago levels.
"Sellers are still not keen though there is some buying interest out there. I think the premium will probably stay firm until the second half," a Singapore bunker trader said.
