Government and opposition should work for rule of law: Durrani

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Durrani has said that it is collective responsibility of the government and the opposition parties to work for rule of law and strengthening of solidarity of the country.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday he said that the opposition parties were free to criticise the government and its policies but no one will be allowed to harm integrity of the country.
He said that patriotic people of Pakistan would foil designs of the disruptionists and anti-state elements and the law-enforcing agencies are vigilant to maintain writ of the government.
Asked whether the federal government would impose Governor's rule in Balochistan, if the coalition partner MMA decided to quit the government, the minister replied "I have decided not to comment on the statements, but actions of the political parties."
He emphasised that holding of bye-elections is responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan and the provincial government is taking necessary steps to maintain law and order in the province.
