'Country capable of protecting ideological, geographic fronts'

Railway Minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that Pakistan was fully capable of protecting its ideological and geographical fronts. Addressing a big public meeting held in connection with Defence Day of Pakistan here on Wednesday.
He said that some anti-state elements were trying to undermine the unity just for their personal gains. He underscored the need of collective efforts to eliminate the "Politics of Hypocrisy" and self-style leaders.
The upcoming general elections would be crucial because the antennas of the world had been turned towards Pakistan for monitoring the political state of affairs he was of the opinion. Sheikh Rashid said that Pakistan had no external threats of aggression but confronting by internal threats, which was detrimental for the country. The Railway Minister said that some elements were elevating and fanning the provincialism, biradarism and sectarianism for their personal gains.
The government was trying its utmost for weeding out the menace of terrorism aimed to defuse the propaganda of existing training camps of terrorists against Pakistan he said. According to reports and analysis some anti-state forces were trying to create chaos and unrest for encumbering the rapid development process he added.
The Railway Minister said that the global powers were fully aware about the geographical importance of Pakistan and these powers want to see developed and prospering Pakistan. The fundamental rules of Islam are love, brotherhood and tolerance and it was high time that we should act upon the basic philosophy of Islam for developing a healthy society free from sectarianism.
He said that parliament would complete its constitutional tenure and general elections would be held during next year. He stressed upon the people that they should forge complete unity among the ranks to foil the evil designs of anti-state elements and politics of hypocrisy on permanent basis. Sheikh Rashid paid rich tributes to Pakistan army and people of Sialkot on their courage during September 1965 war.
Provincial industries Minister, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema, State Minister for Railway, Ali Asjad Malhi, Chairman Task Force, Mian Muhammad Riaz and Sialkot District Nazim also spoke on the occasion and vowed to convert country into an invincible fort of the glob. They also paid rich tributes to the martyrs of 1965 war.
