Chief secretary orders cleanliness of graveyards and mosques

Chief Secretary Sindh Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday directed the concerned officials to make special arrangements for cleanliness around graveyards, Mazars and mosques on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat. He said the problems arising from accumulation of water after recent rains in graveyards and low-lying areas be also overcome.
He issued instructions to DCOs of all the districts regarding repair of roads leading to graveyards, lighting and removal of encroachments. The police officials were directed to take special security measures in connection with observance of Shab-e-Barat. He said ban on use and sale of fireworks too should be strictly enforced and legal action would be taken against violators. The traffic police was directed for effective traffic system and said proper steps be taken in advance to avoid traffic jams.
