Imran's interview

07 Sep, 2006

This is with reference to the recent TV Interview of Imran Khan with Mujahid Brelvi on CNBC Pakistan. I feel it's a very poor show on the part of Imran Khan as a politician. Imran could not answer many questions posed by Mujahid.
Answer to every question with wordings 'we need democracy' is not enough I feel he could not answer most of the questions .I think he did not remember the democratic period when he was never allowed to appear on TV even in an ad, what to talk of in an interview! Now at least he is appearing on TV Channels and talking against government in a military period. He should admit it.
Regarding his political career he has not shown consistency in his struggle. All that he demonstrated reflects his haste in reaching the citadel of power. He joined Allama Tahirul Qadri and lift him the other day.
See, he joined Musharraf's well-wishers, participated in the referendum, and parted ways the next day. Then comes ARD and then comes PML-N. Now-a-days he is with MMA, whose secretary-general had been hitting him hard for the days he spent with Goldsmith's daughter and other affairs.
I would like to advise him to please use his information sources to know about the whereabouts of cancer patients. Many of them, who are forced out of the charity hospital, happen to genuinely deserve treatment. Only the prayers of the destitute and those attended wholeheartedly can win him his high goals.
