Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 112,808 tonnes of cargo including 94,427 tonnes import, 18,381 tonnes export cargo and 2,920 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 62,708 tonnes dry cargo including 38,902 tonnes general cargo; 1,035 tonnes sugar; 1,371 tonnes rice; 3,953 tonnes cement; 12,810 tonnes rock phosphate; 4,637 tonnes yellow peas and 50,100 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo. Three ships namely APL Osaka, Al Ihsaa and MT Swat sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Hyundai Highway, MT Shalamar, Iran Tabatabaei, Continent-4, Harutec, Yong Sheng and YM Sun are currently at the berths. Six ships namely C Duckling, Ricrimers Seoul, Heng Fu, YM Sun, Iran Tabatabaei and MOL Asante expected to sail on Thursday, while three vessels viz MT Shalamar, Corinthiakos and Le Li are expected to sail on Friday.
Five vessels viz Al Farabi, SP-5 Eric G Gibson, MOL Asante, United Prosperity and Marylisa V due to arrive on Thursday, while seven ships namely Taviland, Al Marwah, Rising One, Jade Trader, Conti Harmony, Tower Bridge and VOC Rose are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 34,991 tonnes diesel oil; 11,607 tonnes edible oil; 3,716 tonnes LPG; 12,163 tonnes seeds and 37,400 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MT Suzanne, MT Navigator Pluto, CV Nedlloyd Muscat and CV MSC Aurora sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV Thurngia Express and MT Bum Ju are expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of seven vessels viz Frontier Express, Bunga Melati-7, Mega-1, Al-Isha'a, Yanaseni, Explorer and Madre are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely CV Al-Isha'a, CV Mega-1 and MT Yanaseni due to take berths on Thursday.
Two vessels viz CV MSC Lauren and MT Vema Ocean with containers and furnace oil due to arrive on Thursday, while six more ships namely CV Sealand Mariner, CV Orient Independence, MT Temasek, MT Warbah, MT Anette Kosan and MV Wakki with containers, edible oil, diesel oil, coke and chemicals are due to arrive on Friday.
