Managing Director Bait-ul-Maal M Sarfraz said on Friday that Bait-ul-Maal would provide funding up to 75 percent if NGOs are ready to establish welfare homes for beggars.
Talking to PTV, he said in NWFP with the help of Dost Foundation Bait-ul-Maal is providing assistance to drug patients there, they are treated and then a rehabilitation package is given to them so that they could spend a normal life.
He said, now provincial governments are doing work on anti-beggary campaign and there was a rehabilitation package of Bait-ul-Maal ranging from Rs 30,000 to 40,000 for beggars. There were handlers of beggars who lead them from one place to another in cars he said.
