University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, (UVAS) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmad has said that DVM classes will start at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Jhang, in the first week of October. Chairing a meeting here on Wednesday, he also constituted two committees to look into the affairs of the College at Jhang till a principal is appointed.
Professor Manzoor said the two committees are the Academic Programme Implementation Committee, headed by Professor Dr Muhammad Ashraf and the Administrative Committee, headed by Professor Dr Muhammad Akram Muneer.
The academic committee will implement the academic programmes of the college while the administrative committee will ensure provision of academic and administrative facilities at the college. Both committees will be supervised by the vice-chancellor. The UVAS has recently established the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Jhang, which is now-a-days receiving admission forms for five-year DVM programme.
The vice-chancellor directed the university officials to ensure that all necessary facilities were available at the college before the classes would start in the first week of next month. He said three livestock farms had already been arranged near the college to be used by the students for practical purposes.
