The killing of 38 Muslims by serial bomb blasts at a mosque in Indian state of Maharashtra has evoked widespread condemnations in occupied Kashmir and demands for an impartial probe into the massacre.
Senior Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement in Srinagar, strongly denounced the large-scale killings and demanded impartial probe into the gruesome incident by some international agency and punishment to the perpetrators of the crime. He said, targeting the innocent people was an act of terrorism.
Condemning the killing, an APHC spokesman in his statement said, efforts should be made to know the mastermind behind these blasts. The spokesman expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
Expressing profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik termed it the worst example of the murder of humanity. Jamiat-e-Hamdania Chairman Mirwaiz Maulana Riaz Hamdani said it was handiwork of the elements wanted to marginalise Muslims.
Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) President Shabbir Ahmad Shah also termed it an attempt to whip up the communal hatred and demanded impartial probe into the incident.
