Algeria's foreign exchange reserves rose to a record $68 billion at the end of August due to high world oil prices, the official APs news agency quoted Finance Minister Mourad Medelci as saying on Sunday. The reserves stood at $56.18 billion at the end of 2005 and at $66 billion in May this year, Medelci was quoted as saying.
The current level of reserves represents approximately three and half years of imports, Medelci added.
