Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 174,757 tonnes of cargo including 145,557 tonnes import, 29,200 tonnes export cargo and 4,595 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 160,900 tonnes dry cargo including 121,744 tonnes general cargo; 1,784 tonnes sugar; 914 tonnes rice; 6,468 tonnes cement; 1,790 tonnes yellow peas; 28,200 tonnes coal and 13,857 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Eleven ships namely Tower Bridge, Conti Harmony, Yang Jiang He, Kama Bhum, Orient Independence, Al Farabi, Taviland, Li Le, Harutec, Al-Marwah and Marylisa V sailed out to sea during the report period.
Ten vessels viz Yang Jiang He, Kama Bhum, Thor Captain, Tai He, China Star, Mearsk Arkansas, Taviland, Al-Marwah, Rising One and Veracity are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Tai He, Mearsk Arkansas, Voc Rose and Veracity expected to sail on Monday.
Two vessels viz Matina and Buenos Aries due to arrive on Monday, while another ship namely Avalon is due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 33,052 tonnes furnace oil; 11,567 tonnes edible oil; 616 tonnes sugar; 13,000 tonnes coke and 31,705 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Mega-II, CV MSC Lauren, MT Vema Ocean and MT Bunga Melati-7 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV MSC Don Glovanni and CV MOL Kauri are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of five vessels viz MSC Jamima, Sealand Independence, Al-Marwahn, Mar Blue and Madre are currently at the outer anchorage. Two ships namely CV Sealand Independence and CV Nedllod Muscat due to take berths on Monday. Container ship namely CSAV Ningbo due to arrive on Monday, while two more ships namely Santa Barbara and ACX Margurite are due to arrive on Tuesday.
