Singapore bunker fuel prices fall

12 Sep, 2006

Singapore bunker prices fell on Monday but firm demand lifted the premium to fuel oil cargo values to $4-$5 a tonne on a third-straight session. Prices for the 380-centistoke (cst) bunker fuel were pegged at $284-$286 a tonne, down $6.00 from Friday's Asian close, while its differential to fuel oil was at a premium of $4.70, up $2.
"The demand is still there. In fact, it's more than last week and shipowners are looking to fix deliveries for dates as far out as 10 days away," a Singapore bunker trader said.
