LSE index falls

Led by cement sector, equities moved downward amid sluggish trading trend on Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) where transaction volume declined significantly due to lacking investors' interest who kept their eyes on meeting between the KSE-Board and SECP.
The LSE-25 index declined by 4258.20 points against 4284.96 points of last Friday while trading turnover squeezed to 9.882 million shares as compared to 18.582 million shares traded on last trading day of the previous week. Askari Commercial Bank, Attock Refinery, NIB Bank and Gharibwal Cement resisted declines while National Bank, PPL, D.G. Khan Cement, Lucky Cement remained under selling pressure due to profit taking.
