IGP orders removal of incompetent SHOs

The Inspector General of Police Sindh, Jehangir Mirza, has directed the DIG (Operations) to remove the incompetent Station House Officers (SHOs). Presiding over a meeting at CPO, Karachi, the IGP discussed in detail 'the one-point agenda' to curb street crimes in the cosmopolitan city.
Highlighting a short-term action plan, he observed the worst hit areas and spots be identified, the style of the culprits be understood and the groups involved in this activity should be apprehended. Besides strict legal action should be taken against the purchasers and sellers of looted booty, he said, and added that intelligence units should be efficiently activated in this regard.
The IGP asked the DIG (Investigation) Zone I-II to prepare the records of all accused involved in the street crimes, including those who were convicted or arrested and were released on bail.
