Singapore bunker prices higher

06 Oct, 2006

Singapore bunker prices were higher on Thursday, as the premium to fuel oil cargo values stayed to around $1-$2 a tonne amid poor demand for a fourth consecutive day.
Prices for the 380-centistoke (cst) bunker fuel were pegged at $286-$288 a tonne, up $4 from Wednesday's Asian close, while its differential to fuel oil was steady $1.13.
"It's the same old story as the last few days. There's not much demand to go around and only the low-end guys who are prepared to sell at discounts to cargo values are seeing any business," a Singapore-based supplier said.
