Supreme Court adjourns Hashmi case till October 9

The Supreme Court on Friday directed the legal attorney of ARD President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi to produce complete record of Hashmi's case, and adjourned proceedings till Monday.
When a two member bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi took up the appeal of President of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD), Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, seeking bail against his conviction in a mutiny case, Hashmi's senior counsel Muhammad Akram Shaikh, remained unable to produce the relevant record of the case.
The court, however, directed him to produce relevant record of the case and put off proceedings till Monday. Special Public Prosecutor, Munir Ahmad Bhatti was also present in the court to defend the government.
