Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 93,825 tonnes of cargo including 82,242 tonnes import, 11,583 tonnes export cargo and 2,897 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 55,880 tonnes dry cargo including 37,863 tonnes general cargo; 1,090 tonnes sugar; 4,245 tonnes fertiliser; 12,682 tonnes coal and 37,945 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Iran Kordestan, Patton-1, MT Swat and Olympics-1 sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz CMA CGM Victoria, Orient Independence, SP 5-Eric G Gibson, MT Lalazar and Gagasan Malaka are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Manhattan Princess, Gagasan Malaka and SP 5-Eric G Gibson expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz Yang Jiang He and Orient Independence expected to sail on Sunday.
Six vessels viz Mega II, Yang Jiang He, Gallant Wave, Emerald Coral, Haje Khereh and Ji Qing Men due to arrive on Saturday, while three ships namely Pacific Jade, Oel Victory and Corinthiakos are due to arrive on Sunday. Three vessels viz Pacific Ace, MT Shalamar and Al Mukhtarah are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 5,000 tonnes crude oil; 1,834 tonnes sugar; 1,518 tonnes cement; 9,692 tonnes coke; 7,243 tonnes chemicals; 7,437 tonnes seeds and 19,601 tonnes containerised cargo.
Five ships namely CV QIA Al-Fuja'a, CV MSC Samia, CV Saudi Hofuf, MT Tasselare and MT Ginga Hawk sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz MT Kihuland is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of six vessels viz DD Master, Olympic-1, Sima Pars, Sargodha, Aqua Star and Rich Deuchess are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Sima Pars, MT Olympic-1 and MT Rich Deuchess due to take berths on Saturday.
Three ships namely CV Xiang Wan, CV Mega-II and MT Warbah due to arrive on Saturday, while four more ships namely CV MOL Accord, CV MSC Brianna, CV MSC Deila and MT Suzanne with containers and chemicals are due to arrive on Sunday.
