Police directed to protect lives, property of people

The Advisor to CM for Home Affairs Waseem Akhtar has directed the police officers to be honest, hard worker and to protect the lives and property of the people so that their credibility among the masses could be restored.
This he directed while presiding over a meeting of all the DPOs of Sindh Police Hyderabad Region at RPO office Hyderabad on Monday. IG Police Jahangir Mirza, RPO Hyderabad Fayaz Ali Khan and DIG Mirpurkhas Saleemullah Khan were also present in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Advisor to CM for Home Waseem Akhtar strictly directed to the officers not to be indulge in politics or favour any person on the basis of his/her political affiliation but to be neutral and resist the political pressure and to ensure justice to the common people.
Referring the problems pointed out by the officers about shortage of police force and vehicles, Waseem Akhtar directed that unnecessary protocol to the VIPs be avoided especially while they were scored with their own mobiles. He, however, directed them to ensure full security measures for the honourable judges and foreigners. The advisor to CM also directed to the officers that refusal of FIRs should be avoided and justice to the poor victims should be provided purely on merit basis. He said that reforms in the police department were unavoidable as such, he along with senior police officers was planning to encourage and increase the moral values of the police through effective policies.
