Disbursement of loans for Rabi crop

The Punjab government, collaboration with the Zarai Taraqiati Bank (ZTBL), has started one window operation to disburse agriculture loans to small farmers of the province for the current Rabi crop.
A spokesman of the Punjab Agriculture department said here on Monday that owner of 25 acres of irrigated and 50 acres of barani land were eligible to get agriculture loan.
In this connection, Mobile Credit Officer of ZTB, Patwari of Revenue Department, Qanoon-go and representatives of Post Office and Agriculture Department will remain present at Markaz level on every Monday and Tuesday to prepare passbooks and issue there-and-then loans up to Rs 100,000. Interested growers could also submit applications for tractor loans.
A spokesman of the Agriculture Department has said that in case of any complaint or hurdle, growers could contact their concerned District Co-ordination Officer, Executive District Officer (Revenue) or agriculture Helpline.
