Every year the poor are distributed atta during the month of Ramazan which was of some assistance to them. This has been stopped this year on the plea that the money has been diverted to earthquake victims.
Pakistan received billions of dollars from international sources and diverting Zakat fund for the purpose is not a fair deal with the poor of this country.
Widows and orphans are paid cash as well, which has been stopped. The Prime Minister is requested to look into the matter and restore assistance to the poor who depend on this charity.
