A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has filed a petition against appointments of advisors to chief minister and parliamentary secretaries praying to the court to declare the same as illegal and without lawful authority.
The petitioner Azhar Siddiqui contended that under the rules of business, the advisors and parliamentary secretaries were not entitled to get any salary or other facilities. He therefore contended that all the facilities and emoluments being given to them were in violation of rules.
It may be mentioned that a petition of similar nature was already pending with the august court, which had restricted the respondent government from appointing any further advisor.
