Hyderabad Nazim orders foolproof security measures

The Zila Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed has directed all the DSPs and SHOs of the district to ensure fool-proof security measures to prevent any possibility of crime and terrorist activities especially during the month of Ramazan while people were busy in Eid shopping in different markets.
He also directed that they should be on the roads during the banking hours and from Iftar to midnight and to supervise the security measures personally. This he directed while presiding over a meeting of law and order situation at Zila Nazim Secretariat here on Wednesday. DPO Hyderabad Ali Ahmed Junejo, all the DSPs and Inspectors of the district attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Zila Nazim said that during the holy month of Ramazan religious pray and on the other hand Eid shopping is at its peak, and miscreants would seek an opportunity to benefit from this situation. He directed the police to foil every robbery, street crime and sabotage activities at any cost. He said that police personnel in civil clothes should be deployed at the different points and be put on strict vigilance over the internal situation of the markets, besides effective communication system be developed with markets unions, to take prompt action in case of any criminal activity.
He warned the SHOs to be more vigilant in their respective areas failing which they would be held responsible for any case of crime in their areas. Responding the problem of shortage of police force, the Zila Nazim directed the DPO Hyderabad to withdraw all unnecessary deployment of police personnel and re-post them at the police stations. Besides the police personnel available in other sections of police should also be deputed at the police stations.
However, he assured that he would take this matter with the higher authorities. Discussing over the traffic jam problem being experienced by the citizens of Hyderabad, the District Nazim said that this problem has been arisen only due to disordered parking of Rickshaws, other vehicles, vendors and illegal parking stands on the roads. He strictly directed the traffic police not to allow disorder or double line parking on the roads and take action against the vehicles even if same bears registration numbers of Provincial and Federal Governments but found defaulter.
He also directed the officers that drivers should also be made bound to keep their vehicles in single line parking in such a way so that it may not disturb the smooth flow of the traffic.
