Apart from improvement in the facilities/benefits, a 20 percent increase has been agreed in the salaries of Unionised Employees of Trading Corporation Pakistan (TCP) by the Employees Union (CBA) and the TCP Management.
An agreement to this effect reached after several rounds of negotiations between the Management and the CBA, which was signed on Friday in the TCP Board Room.
General Manager (Administration) ST Mustafa represented the Management, while General Secretary Muhammad Ramazan, President Muhammad Khudadad Khan and other office-bearers of the CBA signed the agreement on behalf of the union. TCP Chairman M Asif Zaman Ansari; Director-General, Commercial, and other directors of the corporation were also present in the signing ceremony.
The relief agreement has been reached between the TCP management and the CBA in a peaceful manner and in a spirit of cordiality and unprecedented understanding. It may be mentioned that TCP has earned an all the time record profit of Rs 576 million (pre-audit) in 2005-06, a release said.
