Computer training for income tax department workers

The employees of income tax department will be imparted computer training and first course in this connection will be commenced after the holy month of Ramazan.
The Member, Central Board of Revenue (CBR) Human Resource Management (HRM), Mohammad Talha stated this, while addressing a meeting of the representatives of income tax department here.
The meeting had been arranged by the Regional Commissioner of Income Tax, Corporate/Southern Region, Syed Aqeel Zafarul Hasan. The Member, HRM said that separate courses had been designed for computer illiterate and those having know-how about the information technology. He also explained that during the process of reorganisation of the department, no trained staff would be hired from outside, rather the existing force will be imparted training so as to sharpen their skills and enhance their professional capabilities.
Quoting CBR Chairman, he said no employee of the department would be rendered unemployed. To a question the Member, HRM said that the employees who will fail in the computer course would not be expelled and the department will continue training them till they achieve the required standard of training.-PR
