15 Oct, 2006

After the Peshawar High Court (PHC) granted NWFP health minister Inayatullah interim bail on Saturday, he left for the United Sates on a three-week visit; however, he will return back before November 12, the date fixed by the court for confirmation of his interim bail.
The provincial health minister was charged in a murder case of a social security officer Jehanzeb Khan; therefore, he on Thursday received an interim bail following his reported arrest with orders of a lower court in Nowshera.
The local court had rejected his bail before arrest application and handed the provincial minister to police. However, the provincial information department had rejected reports about his arrest and stated he was performing his official duties.
