A high-level meeting was held in President Camp Office, Rawalpindi, on Tuesday under the chairmanship of President General Pervez Musharraf to discuss the matters related to rehabilitation and reconstruction of quake-hit areas in Azad Kashmir.
Besides AJK President Raja Zulqarnain, AJK senior officers also attended the meeting. Sources told Online that the political situation of AJK also came under discussion. President Musharraf announced that shelters would be provided to the quake survivors ahead of onset of the winter season. The process of rehabilitation and reconstruction would be completed on modern lines, he added. Better standard of life would be provided to people, he assured.
About Kashmir issue, he said Pakistan is eager to take forward the process of peace talks with India for resolution of Kashmir issue sincerely. However, no solution would be evolved against the will of Kashmiris, he reiterated.
He indicated that the entire process of composite dialogue would be reviewed in foreign secretaries meeting of both Pakistan and India next month. Both sides would determine the course to go-ahead.
