The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) will remain closed for six days, from October 20, 2006, to October 25, 2006. In a notice issued here on Tuesday the KSE announced that the stock market would remain closed on Friday, October 20, 2006 on account of Jummah-tul-Widah while Saturday and Sunday are weekly holidays.
Moreover, the KSE will also remain closed from Monday, October 23, 2006 to Wednesday, October 25, 2006, on account of Eid-ul-Fitr as per the announcement of the federal government.
The KSE also announced that the market will remain closed from Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3 on account of Eid-ul-Fitr and, if the Eid falls on Wednesday, the market will reopen on Monday, October 30, 2006.
