French envoy, SCCI agree on steps to promote bilateral trade

The French Ambassador, Regis de Belenet, and President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Liaquat Ahmad Khan, on Tuesday agreed to take steps for promotion of investment, initiation of measures for bringing improvement in trade relations.
Exchange of trade delegation, simplification of visa system and holding of the exhibition of goods produced in both countries. The suggestions and proposals in this regard were discussed during a meeting of the French Ambassador with Sarhad Chamber president, where other businessmen were also present.
These included Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, Honorary French Consular General Raza Kuli Khan, SCCI senior vice president Mohammad Israr Saraf, French Commercial Consular, executive committee members of SCCI and other members of the trading community.
The SCCI chief invited the French Ambassador for making investment in different sectors in the province. The French Ambassador said that France has made huge investment in different sectors including automobiles industry and telecommunication.
He said that it is the prerequisite for the fast changing situation in the world and economic conditions that France and Pakistan should come forward for co-operation in economic affairs. Liaquat briefed the French Ambassador about trade and industry activities in the province and gave him details regarding exports.
