The DDOs of Revenue and Mukhtiarkars of Hyderabad district while exercising special powers of special judicial magistrate have paid their surprise visits at different markets on Monday to curb the trend of increasing prices and maintain Ehtram-e-Ramzan Ordinance.
During their visits they booked 41 shopkeepers and recovered fine of Rs 23,000 from them under Prince Control Act and also challaned seven persons on account of violation of Ehtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance and fined Rs 1,000.
According to details, the DDO (Revenue) City booked six shopkeepers and recovered fine of Rs 3,300 and also challaned one person on account of violation of Ehtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance and fined Rs 500.
DDO (Revenue) Latifabad booked 11 shopkeepers and recovered fine of Rs 7,300.
DDO Revenue Qasimabad booked seven shopkeepers and recovered fine of Rs 5,000.
Similarly Mukhtiarkar City booked nine shopkeepers and recovered fine of Rs 2,300 and also challaned one person on account of violation of Ehtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance and fined Rs 200.
Mukhtiarkar Taluka rural booked one shopkeeper and recovered fine of Rs 200 and also challaned five persons on account of violation of Ehtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance and fined Rs 300, while Mukhtiarkar Estate booked seven shopkeepers and recovered fine of Rs 4,900 from them.
