The scheduled Nawaz/Benazir meeting at the platform of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) in London would dispel all doubts and rumours about the break-up of ARD or any of the ARD party was striking a deal with the government.
MNA and PML-N Central Secretary Finance, Mohammad Pervaiz Malik expressed these views, while addressing PML-N workers meeting in his office, here on Thursday. Mehr Ishtiaq Anwar MPA and other league leaders were also present.
Pervaiz Malik said that the London meeting would devise ways and means to implement Charter of Democracy (CoD) and to follow the principles laid in it. He said it was wrong to say that the Opposition's greater alliance could not be formed. Besides the PML-N, Majlis-i-Amal and some other important political parties were fully agreed on the greater alliance for restoration of democracy.
"They themselves are major alliance and capable of launching any movement successfully. However, Nawaz Sharif would like to take all the political parties along with him in the movement as he considers only two rivals, ie the sitting government and the Opposition at large," he added.
