The Pakistan Muslim League (PML) will emerge as largest party by getting overwhelming majority in the forthcoming general elections, said Federal Minister for Sports Mian Shamim Haider, while addressing an Iftar party here.
The present government did not believe in hollow slogans and was mobilising all its available resources to provide amenities of life to masses at their doorsteps, he added.
He said if the President Musharraf was elected for next five year, the country would become Asian tiger as maximum investment in different sectors was being made during his tenure.
He said the people all over the country were being benefited from the "Development Package" initiated by the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz under which emphasis was being laid on execution of schemes in education, health and water supply sectors in far- flung areas of the country. Haider said the government was taking revolutionary steps to ameliorate the lot of poor in rural and urban areas of the country.
