Nortel to spend $38 million on Mexico service centre

Nortel Networks Corp is spending $38 million over five years on a customer-service center in Mexico City and will hire 300 people to staff the facility, the telecoms equipment giant said on October 16.
Nortel said the center will provide services to companies in North America, Europe, Caribbean and Latin America, with a focus on next-generation networks, Internet telephony, multimedia, databases and radio-frequency technology.
