Germany's ambassador to Pakistan was injured Sunday after being knocked off his bicycle accidentally by a car in the capital, hospital officials said.
Ambassador Guenter Mullak was riding his bike near the German mission in Islamabad's heavily-guarded diplomatic enclave when the incident happened, doctor Ali Goya from the Poly Clinic Hospital told AFP.
Mullak, who injured his nose and sustained a minor fracture to his arm in the accident, received a few stitches before being transferred to Shifa Hospital, the doctor said. "His condition is out of danger," he added. The doctor had no further details about the accident and no comments were immediately available from the German embassy.
