USDA cotton export sales highlights for latest reporting week: Net Upland sales of 195,900 RB were 21 percent above the previous week, but 17 percent under the prior 4-week average.
The major buyers were Mexico (68,600 RB), Turkey (42,800 RB), and China (23,800 RB). Sales of 29,900 RB for delivery in 2007/08 were mainly for Turkey (14,400 RB) and Mexico (12,900 RB). Exports of 137,200 RB were 21 percent above the week earlier and 35 percent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (55,400 RB), Mexico (22,300 RB), Indonesia (9,800 RB), and Turkey (8,900 RB).
