Sindh chief secretary for effective steps to check dengue virus

Sindh Chief Secretary, Fazalur Rehman, on Saturday called for undertaking effective measures for checking the dengue virus and other ailments. An official statement issued here on Saturday said, he directed the Sindh Health secretary as well as DCOs and EDOs to come up with an effective strategy in this regard.
Chief Secretary directed that attention be paid towards cleanliness at hospitals, clinics, dispensaries, basic health units and ensure provisions of medicines and related equipment.
He also called for ensuring 100 percent attendance of doctors and other medical staff. Fazalur Rehman directed that the people be made aware regarding cleanliness and hygienic conditions. Garbage should be removed from streets, Mohallas and around educational institutions, mosques, hospitals and recreational places.
He said adequate arrangements should also be made for spray for protection against dengue virus and other ailments. The Chief Secretary has also sought a report from Secretary Health within a week regarding the precautions and the steps that have been implemented in this direction.
