Steps taken against dengue fever: CDGF

All preventive and precautionary measures with regard to dengue fever have been adopted under the instructions of City District Nazim Rana Zahid Tauseef, said a spokesman for the city district government Faisalabad (CDGF) here on Saturday.
He said that no case of dengue fever had been reported in the district so far. However, all necessary arrangements for combating the threat effectively had been put in place. He said this regard 10 beds each had been reserved in the Allied, District Headquarters and all Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals.
EDO (health) Dr Muhammad Javed has asked the people to use mosquito nets and applying Mospel over their exposed body parts to avoid falling prey to threat posed by mosquitoes.
He has advised the people to contact the nearest hospital in case of high fever and avoid using Asprin/Disprin, etc under any circumstances. He said that high fever, pain in joints & eyes and outbreak of blood from mouth or other parts are indications of this disease. In the event of this disease, they should inform the health department immediately over toll free telephone No 0800-12012.
The EDO (health) said that a control room has been set up by the health department, which is headed by DDO Health (HQRS) Dr Ghulam Murtaza Sheikh and the health department has also arranged for anti-mosquito spray for dealing with the threat of this menace in an effective manner.
