Rs 14.4 million distributed among Waziristan victims

The government has taken several measures to compensate and distributed 14.4 million among the affectees of recent operation in the Agency. Waziristan Political Agent Munir Azam Khan distributed the cheque among the victims of the operation.
Talking to newsmen on Friday, Munir Azam pointed out that the government had allocated Rs 210 millions compensation for the affectees of the recent operation in North Waziristan Agency. He said the government had so far distributed 150.4 million and 1,513 rupees among the affectees, adding that cheques had been distributing among the affectees every Friday.
About law and order situation, the PA said the law and order had become normal and improved in the Agency as compared to the past, and noted that the tribal elders and Ulema were playing active role in restoration of peace and stability in the area. About Waziristan peace agreement, he hoped that the treaty would yield long terms impacts and bring happy and prosperity in the area.
