Casa Everz and K Shoes sign MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed among Gulf Footwear Company, Casa Everz GMBH Pakistan and K Shoes at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Tuesday.
Gulf Footwear and Casa Everz GMBH were represented by Manfred Everz, and Bahadu Virani, while on behalf of Bata Pakistan its Managing Director Anthony Carnecky and for K. Shoes Senator Zafar Iqbal were present, who inked the MoU. LCCI President Shahid Hassan Sheikh, Senior Vice President Yaqoob Tahir Izhar and Vice President Mubasher Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
As per MoU, K. Shoes would manufacture the shoes in Pakistan while Bata Pakistan would market the shoes with brand-name "Dr Mauch".
This special kind of medicated shoes would increase circulation of blood in the body. These shoes would particularly be beneficial for cardiac and blood pressure patients.
Speaking on the occasion, the LCCI President said that he is happy to see that Bata Pakistan, K. Shoes and Dr Everz (Evers), manufacturer of Dr Mauch (MOK), are entering into a Memorandum of Understanding to manufacture Dr Mauch (MOK) shoes in Pakistan. He said that under the MoU, K. Shoes would manufacture Dr Mauch (MOK) shoes in Pakistan, which would be marketed by Bata. As such technologies, manufacturing and marketing would be synthesised to make the chain, he added.
According to him, the MoU reached between the parties is quite in line with the policy being followed by the Government of Pakistan for foreign direct investment. This would not only give value addition to our shoes but would also improve the competitiveness of shoes in the international market. He congratulated Senator Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry of K. Shoes, Carnecky of Bata and Dr Everz (Evers) manufacturer of famous brand Dr Mauch (MOK) shoes for reaching the understanding.
