Security tightened after Dargai incident

After the Dargai suicide attack on military recruits, security has been put on high alert across the province while entry of irrelevant people and vehicles in cantonment areas has been banned.
People who wanted to see their relatives residing in army colonies are facing hardships and military police reluctant to allow them to enter the colonies.
Suspects and their vehicles are being searched thoroughly to avert any eventuality. Regional Police Officer Multan Mirza Muhammad Ali said," strict measures had been adopted to maintain law and order in the area. "Beggars, rickshaws, irrelevant people and vehicles have been banned to enter the sensitive areas of Multan cantonment," he said. Contingents of police and elite force have been deputed to guard all mosques, Imambargahs, Churches, business centres, bus stands and public spots.
DPO Muzaffargarh said," we have taken foolproof measures for the security of foreigners serving at different projects in the district and they have been asked not to go out without security guards."
