On the directive of Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the Revenue Department has completed survey of particulars of thousands of occupants of state-land in Harbanspura area and proprietary right documents would soon be issued to them at minimum price.
District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood revealed this while chairing a meeting held to review progress on grant of proprietary rights to holders of 2 to 10 marlas of land in Harbanspura area, at Jinnah Hall on Saturday. Executive District Officer (Revenue) Deputy District Officer (Revenue) Cantt, Nazim of Union Council 41 Mian Muhammad Iftikhar and other elected representatives attended the meeting.
Mian Amer Mahmood disclosed that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has ordered for grant of proprietary rights to those dwellers who have been residing there for the past 30 years or so.
He said that challan forms would soon be issued to those whose credentials had been verified during the recently conducted survey by the Revenue Department. Concerned families would be issued sale deeds after mutation of land in their names, the nazim added.
